LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Birzeit Family and Friends,

As the newly elected national President of the Birzeit Society, I am delighted to share that the National Board of Directors held its annual meeting on March 8-9, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. This hybrid gathering took place both in person and via Zoom, allowing members of the Advisory Committee in Birzeit to participate virtually.

The two-day meeting brought together delegates from all chapters, along with committee heads, to discuss key agenda items. Reports were presented by committee chairs and chapter presidents, providing updates on the Society’s initiatives and progress over the past year. Several important decisions and action items were also established to guide our work in the year ahead.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board elected the following members to serve on the

Executive Committee for the upcoming term:

• President – Hani Kaileh
• First Vice President – Samar Kaileh Wahbe
• Second Vice President – Zaina Naser
• Chief Financial Officer – Suhail Kassis
• Secretary – Joey Abeid
• Historian – Faris Kassis

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to our outgoing President, Mrs. Mona Saadeh Totah, and the departing board members for their dedication and hard work over the past two years. Their contributions have been invaluable to our Society’s continued growth.

At the same time, I extend a warm welcome to our newly elected Board and Executive Committee members. I deeply appreciate their willingness to volunteer their time and expertise in service to our community. With the continued support of our members, I am confident that we will build upon the progress achieved over the past 36 years and further strengthen our Society’s impact.
