COVID-19 RELIEF EFFORTS |
Dear Birzeiti Family and Friends:
We at Birzeit Society are thinking of all those impacted by the current global pandemic including those diagnosed with the virus, their family and friends, those whose businesses, jobs, and schools have been impacted, and everyone else going through hardship. It is during times like these that we must stick together as a community and support each other.
During these times of uncertainty, it is essential that we do not forget those in need. Our family and friends in Birzeit and in Palestine need our support. Please consider giving to one of the causes below to help those who are less fortunate.
We hope that you and your families are doing well, that you are safe, and that you stay healthy. Our hearts go out to all of our members and we wish you all the best. As Palestinians and Birzeitis, we will continue to overcome and to emerge from hardship even stronger than before.

BIRZEIT FOOD PACKAGES: With the closure of many businesses in the West Bank due to the lockdown imposed to fight the spread of COVID-19, many Birzeitis are currently out of work and are unable to provide food for their families. Food packages are being assembled and delivered to the most vulnerable and needy families in Birzeit. With the help of your donations, Birzeit Society was able to immediately send $1,000 to provide relief for 35 families. Now, with the lock down continuing for an additional month, over 220 Birzeiti families will need your help. For every $35 donated, a family in Birzeit will receive a food package containing flour, sugar, salt, oil, rice, spaghetti, canned goods, and other essentials. | PALESTINE MEDICAL MISSION: AFRHSN Medical Mission is a group of medical volunteers dedicated to improving the local health care system throughout Palestine. Their COVID-19 relief efforts will provide much needed medical equipment and protection to healthcare workers, hospitals, and the community they serve, including: testing kits, masks, ventilators, protective masks, and sanitizers. All money raised will go towards the purchase of medical equipment and supplies that will help all Palestinians, including those in the Ramallah, Bethlehem, Khalil, Nablus, and Gaza regions, and Palestine at large.
