Dear Birzeitis and Friends,
Birzeit Society’s Conventions are shining moments in its history, a large family reunion where fine memories get ingrained in people’s hearts; old friendships get revitalized and new ones sparked for life. It’s a spiritual hub reconnecting extended family and friends, and a platform that inspires our children to bond with their roots, and to love their homeland and cultural heritage – hence, our theme for the Convention “Nurturing Our Roots”!

The convention program is filled with entertainment, social events, cultural activities and indoor and outdoor fun excursions to suit all tastes. We are elated to have three prominent names attending our Convention: Dr. Afif Safieh, our keynote speaker, considered the most experienced and skilled Palestinian diplomat having served in the three most politically significant capitals: London, Washington, and Moscow. Dr. Gabi Baramki, a former acting president of Birziet University, who served as general secretary of the Council for Higher Education, and consultant to the Palestinian Ministry of Education. Dr. Tamim Barghouti, a celebrated Palestinian poet and political scientist who is known for poetry recitals that draw thousands of admirers from various age groups.
