Birzeit Society (BZS) is a Charitable, Non-Profit Corporation that sponsors humanitarian projects in the Middle East, and renders social, cultural, and educational programs to its members and their communities. Hundreds of families across the US and Canada are members of the Society. Birzeit Society was founded in 1987 to perpetuate the strong ties among its members and to link their communities around the world together and with their ancestral roots in Palestine. It represents the collective interest of its members, promotes the collective betterment of their communities, and safeguards the future of their culture.
BZS is registered in California, U.S.A as a non-Profit Corporation; governed by a Board of Directors, and an Executive Committee headed by the President of the Society.

National Convention: Once every two years, where members and their friends come to renew their acquaintances, reinvigorate their commitment to the Society's Mission, and meet and discuss social issues with policy makers. Revenue generated by the conventions is applied directly to charitable projects.
